It came as a bit of a surprise, but it’s here! As part of an event for advertisers in New York, CBS unleashed a short teaser as their big boss Les Moonves debuted what looks to be the new logo for the the TV branch of Star Trek.
It’s not much, but it’s enough to keep us excited! Details from the new show are yet to be finalised under showrunner Bryan Fuller and executive producer Alex Kurtzman. The still to be titled show will make it’s premiere on CBS Television in January 2017 in the US with the rest of the series available weekly on CBS All Access.
Details on international distribution is still to be announced.

Being a key element in the Sstar Trek lore from the very beginning, Vulcan mythology can often seem distorted by simplicity. Seen as a stoney emotionless species, their society is built on logic and science in helping them understand and navigate through the complexities of the universe. A follower of the Enterprise and it's adventures from a young age, Roberto Orci was introduced to Star Trek by his uncle and would grow up to introduce a short lived, but highly memorable, Captain Robau in thanks and tribute to the uncle that started the journey into sci fi and fantasy.
