This year’s event is host to famed Scottish actor Robert Carlisle who returns to Glasgow for a rare meet and greet. Possibly best known for his part as Begby in Trainspotting, or Gaz in The Full Monty, Carlisle’ has a full CV of all kinds of drama, from starring as Rumpletilskin in fantasy series Once Upon A Time, to travelling between galaxies in Stargate Universe.
The event takes place on the weekend of September 6/7 with tickets on sale now. Fellow sci fi fans are welcome to drop by, say hello and talk Trek with the crew!

Continuing their mission to spread the values of Starfleet throughout the fan community in Eastern France and Germany, Captain Kaufman and her crew continued their ongoing journey with another away mission in Sarrebrück in July. USS KAGA
Joining Quadrant 2’s collective earlier this year, the crew of the Kaga have been extremely busy since launch! Their most recent away mission saw the crew visit the Gifu-Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum, the sole museum in Japan dedicated to both aviation and space flight. Since it’s reopening in 2018, growing almost twice in size, it’s host to several unique exhibits including a full scale model of the Kibo movule on board the ISS, and the only surviving Kawasaki Ki-16 fighter.
As well as celebrating the regions aviation history, it also showcases it’s future as it’s home to experimental aircraft and stands close to Gifu Air Field.
This month the team are showing the Starfleet spirit through volunteer work at Koke-no-Sato gardens ahead of the village festival. Formed by generations of care, the moss gardens are a peaceful and serene retreat attracting studies of it’s distinct moss species, to tourists and visitors to the idealistic mountain village.
Voluntary work for the crew continues in October when the crew performs double duty on the 5th as Kaga attends both the Japan Air Self Defence Force’s demonstrations and celebrations at Komatsu Air Festa while the command crew volunteer at Kanazawa Rainbow Pride, a regular event for the team celebrating inclusion and diversity within the region.

From discussions over the best in film, to a breakdown of each series, the crew have bene delving into their picks for what made each series the Trek for them!
Congratulations are also due as former XO Joshua Dadd returned to the command team to take on a new role of Strategic Operations Officer for the ongoing development of the Sovereign.
