Earlier this year, Scotlands strong history within Quadrant 2 was revived with the launch of the USS Tesla.
After a successful shakedown cruise, myself and the Admiralty Board are proud to confirm the USS Tesla as a fully active unit well on her way towards her mission!
In recognition of his sterling work in bringing the group together and leading the unit, CO Fraser Stevenson is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander with immediate efffect.
The Tesla crew were also awarded with a joint commendation for their work to, establish the unit, and in particular for representing the fleet at Glenrothes Comic Con 2018.
Congratulations Commander and to the crew of the Tesla! I believe your science officer is arranging a time share for your ships commendation certificate (not pictured) and also has first dibs!

Using found slipstream technology as well as time sensitive components to make it work, Kim proposes a risky plan to build the drive and race the crew home. When his space bestie Tom points out it's a stupid plan due to variables they haven't been able to counter, Captain Janeway give sit the rubber stamp anyway on the condition Chakotay fly ahead in the Delta Flyer with Kim so they can feed back course corrections so Voyager doesn't explode. Since our mass fleet redevelopment ten years ago, we've seen things changes, people come and go and the entire landscape of humanity shift twice while the franchise that brought us all here to begin with grew and evolved multiple times. [Ships of the Line] The Einstein Class / Kelvin Type
A relic of one of Starfleet's lost experimental era's, the Einstein Class was in service into the 2230's as a replacement for the Daedalus explorers. Going back to a more traditional saucer for the ships primary hull, a core feature of Starfleet's first exploration vessels, the NX Class, it was a larger and chunkier configuration to allow more internal for an adaptable range of mission specifications. Similar to standard scout ship designs, such as the USS Archer, the Einstein featured a singular warp nacelle protruding below the wide saucer housing two semi circular dual warp coils powered by four reactors allowing the vessel to reach warp 7 speeds with it's base early 23rd century configuration. Every quarter we'll be putting a division of Quadrant 2 under the spotlight as we Tour The Galaxy with the best and brightest of the fleet. And to start off on a high, we thought we'd begin with one of our fastest developing groups in the past decade; the USS Tesla! The first unit to launch following our mass fleet reorganisation a decade ago, the USS Tesla was first proposed as an idea in passing conversation and soon blossomed into one of the leading groups in both Q2 and in Scotland. Since the 50th anniversary of SFC as a whole, we've been on a mission to revitalise and update several elements of Quadrant 2, working on improving services and experience fleet wide for all members. Following some background changes and a lot of work in the Alpha Quarter behind the scenes, we're moving into the next phase with some more visibility in whats coming next! [Ships Of The Line] The Nova (& Rhode Island) Class
One of the more popular starship designs to come out of the mid-late 24th century, the Nova and it's sub class the Rhode Island, had an unusual history. Initially drafted as one of many designs conceptualised following early encounters with the Borg, it's origins lay in defensive planning before it was finalised for a more scientific role in favour of other defensive options for the fleet. Designed for combat initially, the Nova Class was one of many styles designed to be small, compact and manoeuvrable that could be built up in large numbers to bolster the fleeds defence in times of crisis. As we enter 2025 (or... 2402...?) there's no rest for the crew of the Tesla as the team are already back in action making a return to two of the biggest events in Scotland!
