Introducing the USS Proxima

Starting off our 50th anniversary month with a bang, we're thrilled to announce another new unit forming in our collective that not only brings something new to Q2, but revives a long quiet region within the Quadrant. Captained by Magali Kauffman, we're pleased and round to announce that as of today the USS Proxima undertakes it's shakedown cruise as the latest addition to Quadrant 2's Fleet.

[Retro Review] The One With The Whales (1986)

Closing off an accidental trilogy, Kirk and his disgraced crew wrap up chilling out on Vulcan to go back to Earth for a bit of a wrist slapping. While they saunter back home in a stolen Klingon ship, an alien probe pops round for tea and biscuits on Earth. Except, there's neither tea nor biscuits buit a confusing sense of chaos as it sucks everything around it of power and soaks up Earths oceans for what seems like no apparent reason.

[Sci Fi Sunday] Quantum Leap Season 2 on Paramount+

Returning to an old classic can be a mixed bag. Especially when the ideas a revival of a cult classic without any of the original stars returning. Quantum Leap was one of several of those shows to dip back into an old idea and give it a new life to modern audiences and in it's first season it was a surprise hit thanks in part to being a next chapter for the government funded time travel project that mixed the old theme with new ideas.

Time Travel has always been a core sci fi trope for the Star Trek Universe. Whether it's going back to the 1980's to save the whales, or jumping ahead to see the Enterprise-J to avert a time war, it seems the heroes of Starfleet can't fly into space without wandering into a temporal investigations nightmare.
