Three More Suit Up For Discovery!

In a surprise announcement CBS had released three more names for the cast of Discovery! Sam Vartholomeos has landed the role of Ensign Connor, a Junior Officer in Starfleet Academy assigned to the starship Shenzhou. His credits include The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Following. Maulik Pancholy is on board as Dr. Nambue, the Chief Medical Officer of the starship Shenzhou. Pancholy’s credits include Weeds, Hitch, 30 Rock, Phineas & Ferb, The Good Wife and Sanjay and Craig. Terry Serpico will play Admiral Anderson, a high-ranking Starfleet official. Serpico’s films and television credits include 100 Centre Street, The Departed, Army Wives, Rescue Me, Sneaky Pete, Elementary and The Purge: Election Year. First peek at Discovery!

In a surprising video post on twitter and CBS.com, Discovery posted their first peek behind the scenes to give us a peek at their first week of filming! https://twitter.com/startrekcbs/status/826490260565565440 With filming starting earlier this month, it's just a quick peek into the new world of Trek but if you look close we can see some set detailing, a new ship design (possibly the Shenzhou), new uniforms and insignia and a lot more! James Frain to appear as legendary Sarek on Star Trek Discovery!

With production underway and rehearsals in progress, CBS has announced at StarTrek.com that highly respected actor James Frain is not only joining the crew, but starring as father of Spock, Sarek of Vulcan! Introduced in the original series episode 'Journey to Babel', Sarek became one of the franchises most loved regulars. Portrayed originally by the late Mark Lenard, Sarek continued to appear in the original movies, most notably in the Search for Spock, before arriving in The Next Generation. Ben Cross revived the character in the 2009 Star Trek film by JJ Abrams offering a more sombre element to the wise Vulcan ambassador, carrying on Lenards legacy in the new Kelvin timeline. The Walking Dead Star Sonequa Martin-Green Joins Discovery!

According to a breaking report from EW, it seems that Star Trek Discovery has found it's 'Number One' star. Known for her role as Sasha Williams on AMC's The Walking Dead, Sonequa Martin-Green has reportedly been cast to take the lead role on the new Trek TV show set to debut in May next year. Martin-Green's casting brings a close to a long and determined search to find the perfect lead for Discovery which has partially caused delays to the process of building the show. The Klingons Are Coming! Three More Actors Confirmed for Discovery!

CBS has offered another surprise announcement after their recent cast reveal, bringing us three more actors for the new series, Star Trek Discovery. And this time, they're not from the Starfleet world... Announced at StarTrek.com, Chris Obi, Shazad Latif and Mary Chieffo have been named as the Klingon portion of Discovery. Playing the part of T'Kumva is Chris Obi. Known in the UK for small roles in The Peter Serafinowicz Show and alongside Matt Smith in Doctor Who, Obi has also starred as the man in the Mirror of Snow White And the Huntsman, the recent revival of Roots and will appear as Mr. Jacquel in Bryan Fuller's Neil Gaiman Adaption American gods. Casting News: Three Discovery Crewmembers Announced!

In a surprise announcement, StarTrek.com has confirmed the announcement of Michelle Yeoh for the next Star Trek series and announced two more cast members to join Star Trek Discovery! After a leak from a throwaway line courtesy of consulting producer Nicholas Meyer and speculation following from Deadline, CBS have confirmed that Michelle Yeoh will indeed be joining the cast. While the previous rumour had her listed as Han Bo, the Crouching Tiger star will portray Captain Georgiou, captain of the Federation starship Shenzhou. In confirming Yeoh's role on the show, CBS have also announced two Discovery crew members in Doug Jones and Anthony Rapp. Jones comes aboard as Lieutenant Saru, a science officer within Starfleet and an alien never before seen in the Star Trek universe.
