One of the most advanced exploration classes upon it's launch, the Intrepid Class was built with new methods of starship design and multiple innovations that advanced upon the construction methods used for the era led by the gargantuan Galaxy Class long term explorer. Built within a significantly smaller scale, the Intrepid was a light explorer built for shorter mission terms than the classic 'five year' exploration tour and served a variety of functions.
It takes a universe in itself to create Star Trek and part of it's creative family comes from a legacy that far outshines most in film. For over a hundred years the Westmore family have been a staple of productions in Hollywood starting with George Westmore's studio. The family would not only become masters of hair and make up design, but become engrained within Hollywood as the finest in their craft.
Narendra III was a long standing Klingon colony first visited by Starfleet in the mid-22nd century. In 2152 it hosted the first human on trial under Klingon law at a time where the warrior caste was overshadowing all others, but almost two hundred years later it would also be the place where peace with the Klingons would be secured by an act of sacrifice for the Empire.
Connected universe on screen have been a bigger deal now more than ever before now that one of the most popular, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has embraced Marvel's diverse history before it was it's own singular media empire. Shared universes have always been a bit of a cool thing to see on screen whether it was a subtle one such as Michael Keaton reprising his Jackie Brown role as Ray Nicollet in Out of Sight, to spin offs such as Frasier bringing in the old Cheers gang, there's a novelty to seeing the fictional worlds interconnect with each other from time to time.. Starting off our 50th anniversary month with a bang, we're thrilled to announce another new unit forming in our collective that not only brings something new to Q2, but revives a long quiet region within the Quadrant. Captained by Magali Kauffman, we're pleased and round to announce that as of today the USS Proxima undertakes it's shakedown cruise as the latest addition to Quadrant 2's Fleet.
Ahead of SFC's fiftieth anniversary, our flagship crew from the USS Tesla are beaming down for Acme Comic Con in Glasgow! Now a regular fixture at the Glasgow convention, the crew will be on hand to talk Trek, the fleet and with their array of props on hand this coming weekend!
