Captain Pike & The Enterprise Returns for Strange New Worlds

A few months ago eagle eyed fans spotted that the Directors Guild of Canada added a page for a new show with an ominous title, Strange New Worlds. An obvious reference to, well, the obvious, it was presumed that this new show would be a continuation of Captain Pike's Enterprise crew. Announced through EW, it's been confirmed that Strange New Worlds is the next in line for Star Trek's production and one of the two live action shows hinted at by Alex Kurtzman earlier this year. Strange NEw Worlds will see Ansom Mount return as Captain Pike alongside Rebecca Romjin as Number One and Ethan Peck as Lieutenant Spock. “Fans fell in love with Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, and Ethan Peck’s portrayals of these iconic character,” said Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, CBS All Access. “This […]

Fleet Alert From the Director of Fleet Operations

Attention All Hands - Urgent Message from DOPS: In this difficult time, I know that many of us have had to self-isolate, or are already restricted with health or mobility issues, so I would like to call upon Unit Commanding Officers and Senior Staff to endeavour to make sure we at least attempt to offer our members something to distract them from the ever-growing situation we find ourselves in. And to our other ranks, our members who are the lifeblood of the Fleet - I urge you to get involved any way you can: discuss, chat, engage with us all, let's get through this together with the bare minimum casualties. Talk to your Commanding Officer about activities you can assist in, take part in or suggest. Let's prove that it takes more than a pandemic to slow the Home Fleet Down... DOPS […]

SFC Quadrant 2 Operations & COVID-19

Attention all hands! I'm sure everyone seen the news by now and the government advice to avoid all unessential travel and social interaction outdoors. We can't tell anyone what to do (we're not real Admirals, nor are we your mum!), however, in light of the recent advice coming from the Prime Minister - supported by all nations of the UK - the Director of Administration's official advice is to listen to the warnings, follow the guidelines coming out of the Government and restrict your movement and social contact to the essential if you can. For this reason units and departments across SFC have already began suspending any operations in the real and aim to keep in touch through Facebook and other contact methods online. Please refer to your CO, Executive Officer or even our Interim Director of Admin if you have […]

Starfleet Academy Undergoes An Overhaul

Throughout the year we've been taking on a lot of feedback on our Academy program and listening closely to what members old and new had to say on the process. After some deep reflection on how the system operates, as well as mirroring up it's purpose in the current fan world, we've made a few changes... For decades Starfleet Academy has been one of the most unique introductions to the club and how we mirror the idea of following a Starfleet structure for our membership rewards. However, it is also a very time consuming task for our Academy Team who would regularly fall behind with a huge influx of members every year. Despite all efforts, that issue was an overwhelming one to face and we wanted to make sure no one was left behind or left waiting any longer and […]
