Since 2017 it feels like we've had non stop Star Trek since the revival of the franchise through streaming services, however all good things do come to an end. One of the most bittersweet things to look forward to this year is the surprising end of Discovery, the flasgship show that helped to revive the Star Trek franchise with it's higher than expected demand launching CBS All Ac cess (Now Paramount+).

Star Trek Discovery Season 2 Trailer

As we'd all hoped and expected, last nights SDCC panel closed with a fresh look at Discovery season 2, giving us the first peek at how the show is shaping up after the behind the scenes teaser released earlier this year. Discovery & Sonequa Martin-Green Take Home Saturn Awards!

The 44th annual Saturn Awards were presented this week with Discovery entering with five nominations and leaving with two big wins! Discovery has brought a lot of success for CBS's new All Access Service with subscriptions rising and the show coming out on top of streaming viewership projections throughout (and in the weeks after!) the shows run. Matching the success of the show, The Saturn Awards gave a nod of recognition with Discovery winning the award for Best New Media Television series. Up against some impressive competition, including Netflix sci fi's Stranger Things, Black Mirror and Altered Carbon and their crime drama Mindhunter, as well as Hulu's The Handmaids Tale and Amazon's Electric Dreams, Discovery took home the prestigious price with two of it's Klingon contingent - Mary Chieffo (L'Rell) and Kenneth Mitchell (Kol) - accepting the award on behalf […]

The Walking Dead Star Sonequa Martin-Green Joins Discovery!

According to a breaking report from EW, it seems that Star Trek Discovery has found it's 'Number One' star. Known for her role as Sasha Williams on AMC's The Walking Dead, Sonequa Martin-Green has reportedly been cast to take the lead role on the new Trek TV show set to debut in May next year. Martin-Green's casting brings a close to a long and determined search to find the perfect lead for Discovery which has partially caused delays to the process of building the show.
